Irazmi Perez has worked internationally with the USASF since 2006 to credential coaches. A fluent Castilian Spanish speaker, she has a passion for meeting international coaches at the Cheerleading Worlds. Most recently Perez has been in charge of credentialing as the Lead Instructor for the West Coast Region. Perez will be making the rounds this summer at various coaches’ conferences and USASF Regional Meetings. Perez was also instrumental in helping formulate the most recent version of the USASF State Director Training materials and USASF Member Handbook.
Perez graduated from National University where she received her Master’s in Education. Prior to attending National, Perez cheered for the Wildcats from the University of Arizona, where she earned her BA in Fine Art & Architecture. With 13 years of coaching and judging experience (a former Cheerleading Head Instructor and Nationals Judge for the United Spirit Association) she is very familiar with the coveted “West Coast flair” seen in cheer and song routines. Perez has coached and choreographed all-star teams from Level 1 to Level 6 across the United States. She was a former coach of a nationally ranked High School squad and the nationally ranked University of California, San Diego team.
In her non-cheer life, Perez is a Project Manager for a Worldwide IT company. When she is not coaching or judging, she is training for her first Ironman triathlon and likes to run marathons as well. She currently resides in Anthem, AZ.
